Sibling House

Great News!

An organization on the Eastside called “The Giving Chicks” has chosen Sibling House as the recipient of their monthly cooperative effort to give back to the community. Businesses that are part of “The Giving Chicks” pledge to donate $20 each per month to a pot and then choose a charity to give that months total amount to. The typical total usually is in the amount of $1000 to $1200. The Giving Chicks conduct an interview with several chosen charities that members nominate, asking about how funds are spent, the percentage of funds used for administrative or fundraising, and percentage used for programs. Sibling House programs use over 86%  of every dollar donated. Additionally, charities are asked how they would spend the donation. That information is then taken back to the group and members vote on who to donate that months collection to. Sibling House plans to use the donation to purchase bunk beds and mattresses for homes in our network. A huge “Thank You !” to The Giving Chicks and the generous businesses and individuals that make up this selfless organization.
